On occasion I get the urge to paint. I painted this many years ago and always loved the way it came out.
At the time, I was living with a roommate and it was my first post-college year in New York. My roommate's boss had given her a set of three stacking tables. They were just cheap little things that showed the abuse he had given them. So she gave them to me to see if I could fix them up stating she'd throw them out otherwise.
The other two looked fine with just a little contact paper and cleaning. I don't know what possessed me to paint this one, but like the results. It's easily one of the better paintings I've done.
LOVE the facial expression of the cat. Seems so trusting, calm, and content. ;-D
ReplyDeleteI could never even paint as well as this; paint-by-numbers was a challenge and the faces always looked distorted? Never good in this area of talent.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
