No One Anticipates - the Spanish Inquisition!

Yesterday I had to sign all the consent forms for my surgery. Friday are the blood tests. Next week are more tests, and then at the end of the week, surgery! Unfortunately, one of the people who was going to help me out has family sick duty, as her father fell and broke his hip. I think my anxiety is rising, as I don't want to do anything I should (like totally clean and disinfect my apartment, any NYers want to have a cleaning party this weekend?) or even do upkeep on this blog.

So I will sit here, at work, drink my 'Perfectly Protein' Vanilla Chai which for some reason reminds me of egg nog, and see what else I can put off doing.

Procrastinate with me Liss! I even procrastinated going out for lunch, and it turned out big boss didn't want what he ordered anymore so I got myself a soup and tuna, then someone else didn't want the crackers they bought so got ritz. So - it saved me lunch money!

Ugh, that anxiety. So high, so there. But my boss told me they are holding off the holiday luncheon until my return, so that's sweet at least :) So I won't get fired while I'm out at home.

Oh Vic,
What are you complaining about? It's a New York City apartment... can't be much larger than a postage stamp. LOL!

Best wishes for the tests and surgery. *HUGS*

Ahhhh...that's good that you'll still keep your job. :-D

Thanks guys! Yeah Amel, I had this weird fantasy (an anxiety one, I'm sure) that I'd get fired while out sick, that they'd realize they don't need me, not erally. My position was created for me, and since then they've created three other positions.

Chewy - You got it! Actually, mine is big for NYC, but still not wheelchair accessible (not that I'll need one) and with plenty of weird corners to bump into at night.

Thanks for the well wishes fish!

David- would that it were, can you imagine how awesome our writing groups would be? All of us sitting around with a warm mug of tea, or some wine, reading and laughing together.
